January 15, 2014
Travel Day...
Got to YEG air port at 7:15am, everything went good..saw Ranjini there( she's so funny). Had breakfast at 8:45am at Chili's, guess we all wanted to start off with Mexican food lol We boarded the plane at 10:00am took off 50 minutes later (it was super windy in YEG) Shook the plane while we were still on the ground.
Plane ride started of fine, I was nauseous most of the flight until lunch was served. As we start to land, out the window was a FANTASTIC view of the ocean and shore line. NEVER seen such an unexplainable blue ocean.. so AMAZING!
Cancun airport wasn't all the bad, customs wasn't that long of a wait and before you know it we were being transferred t o our hotel!
Transfer ride- although dark out we still loved the ride to the hotel; fastest 20mins of my life! LOL

First day... :)
Buenos Dias! Woke up to birds singing, sun shinning and beautiful ocean waves crashing! Sitting on the balcony of our room writing this. It's soooo beautiful, light breeze, blue ocean..as blue as the sky!
(AFTERNOON)
The sand beach and warm ocean water was AMAZING! Burnt little in the sun, just in spots! Not bad.. should be good tomorrow. Met someone from just outside red deer, Ab. She was funny, we had Taquilla poppers.. then cannon balled in the pool... actually Anthony pushed us in while we were counting down! lol
The food is amazing, having a wonderful time!
The amount of people that come up to you on the beach is crazy.. your constantly saying no thank you.. It's still nice though!! OH!! We took pictures with parrots on our shoulders today too!! soo cool!!

Although it's dark out and a little cloudy, it;s still beautiful out with the waves crashing and the moon lightly shinning thru the clouds. Sitting here just soaking in the beauty! PS... we had a towel swan on our bed too!!

Second Day..
Beautiful day today, waves are a little strong bit still amazingly warm.

Sun is soo hot today.. we stayed out of it for most of the afternoon(because we all burnt yesterday lol)
We booked our first excursion today for XCarte... CAN'T WAIT!!
*(EVENING)
Before our dinner reservation at 9:30pm, there was a beach party and a fire show.. soo cool!!
Dinner was good, we had our first ala carte at the Mexican place.. wish it would have been for earlier though.. sooo tired!!
PLUS have to wake up at 6AM for XCarte!

Third Day...
6AM- So horrible waking up this early! Can't even get breakfast this early...ordered room service.. didn't come until we were ready to leave! So mad!
The park was AMAZING AMAZING!!!!! Personally i would like to go back but would also like to try Xel ha next time too and come for 2 weeks next time!
Anyways...
Had an amazing time, snorkeled for the first time ever! LOVED IT! Saw so many animals and sea creatures .. so very tired by the end of the day and bus didn't come until 8PM so we had 2 VERY LOOOOONG hours to wait

Fourth Day..
Sunny but overcast coming in, looks like rain! Hoping it doesn't rain this afternoon..would like to do some shopping in Cancun and at the flea markets!

Went to the Flea market.. didn't buy a whole lot..some hot sauce, shot glasses and t-shirts(change color in the sun).

Fifth Day..
Beautiful clear sky day- so hot today hung out at the hotel, relaxed! +29 outside!!

We thought we would all try to go to Wal-Mart which is 25-30mins. Ya, didn't go so well.. we caught the wrong bus so we all got off and caught a taxi, Anthony, Debbie and i get to Wal-mart ..$200 pesos later! everyone else went BACK to the hotel! it was a nice touristy trip, VERY SAFE!!!
(EVENING)
Went to Wayne's Boots for steak supper, pretty good food, steak had good flavor.
Went to our first night show- The Mexican Fiesta!
Really good show!!! brad and Terrell went on stage for a Mexican per-show.. SOOOO funny!

Sixth Day..
Got up and took a ferry across to Isla Murjers Island!
It was beautiful there and would soo go back! We rented Golf carts(Brad and Debbie almost fell off the cart when Anthony went over a bump lol)
Bought all my gifts on the island!
ALMOST MISSED our ferry ride back to Cancun!!! The guys fault!
(EVENING)
Anthony and I went to the seafood restaurant ... Sooo good, had the baked mixed seafood! BEST A LA CARTE SO FAR!
DON'T WANT TO LEAVE TOMORROW!!
Bought my rig with the mexican topaz and purple stone today! love it!

Last day... :(
the guys went to Wal-mart, Sandra and the kids went to swim and me and Debbie are hanging out and sun tanning one last time...!!! So going to miss this..don't want to go back to SNOW..... Wish we stayed for 2 weeks!!! we leave the hotel at 3;40PM :(
Plane ride home was good, supper on the plane was good, stew and potatoes, really good! Customs in YEG was a joke! was so fast, atleast its only -9 outside, still chilly to me after leaving +29!!! sooo tired already falling asleep here in the air port , just waiting to go home.
